Feels like Early Summer

You know how much I prefer the warm of summer to the cold of winter. With that said, it's still pretty strange that we're sitting here in mid-January and it's about 80 degrees today at mid-day. I am not complaining at all just making an observation and expressing surprise. I'm also still thinking about yesterday now that I am starting to put together chains of events and seeing relationships and causalities that I may have missed before. The kidney stone from yesterday? As if it had never happened and I'm good as before. And now I'm thinking I probably should do the same routines for all these other knicks and knacks that have my attention at times. The nerve sensation on my big toe for one. I should be able to heal that just as easily should I not? And so I spent the morning finding some frequencies that would help. In the middle of the day I got a call from Jorge which was another surprise. He does not usually call unless he needs something. Today it turned out he didn't need anything so much as he had some news to share. Nidia is pregnant again. I'm thinking to myself it must be the most difficult thing to brave through pregnancy in the middle of this damn pandemic. You can't go anywhere but you're not supposed to see a whole lot of people either. Not to mention he's my age. I don't know if I would have it in me to do another newborn. But all that is ME THINKING. Of course I wished him well and hoped all turns out ok. In the meantime, just having Johnnie fed with pizza (see pic) is about all I can handle right about now. We did have a pretty good morning with his classes and from where I was doing my steps in the next room I heard him do really well with his MATH exercises in the 12:00 class. It's all good.
I did have to give him some kind of reward though because not only did I think he did well in school, he also did well in his karate class. And he managed to do 3 classes this week which is the most he has done. Pretty good considering he had almost a couple of weeks off. I mean the training is legit and no joke. Johnnie is out of breath doing some of the exercises. By the time my 3 PM Thursday afternoon huddle concluded, Johnnie had started to build his dinosaur museum. This is after he built a housing structure for Fuzzy yesterday that I let him keep up until today. The kid builds stuff what can I say?! At least I'm able to keep him occupied until later on tonight when it is hand-off time with Lisa. I knew it was important to keep the momentum of my internal work going but then again I also knew I had later on tonight to myself again. And so I just spent as much as I could with Johnnie for the rest of the evening until Lisa came by to get him. I mean who knows if I even get to see him for the rest of the weekend?! Of course I had to call her at 7:40. She asked why I still call and couldn't wait. I didn't bother to tell her that every single Thursday night has not been the same for many many months. Heck she even forgot last week on the WAY to my apartment and had to turn around from the route to her house.  But I'm not bugging about any of that. At least the hand-off was somewhat routine and Lisa did invite me to come over tomorrow night so she could practice piano. And when I went back to my apartment, I found myself watching a movie on Hulu. Starman from 1984 with Jeff Bridges. An alien inhabiting a human body and trying to find his way home. Funny about these 80s movies with technology. Can't take them seriously because of today's technology. Still a pretty good story. And one I liked a lot back in the day. Enough to divert my attention? It was. But that's ok. I needed to decompress.
