So as busy as yesterday seemed to be, there was no reprieve first thing this morning as I had to be ready to go by 8:30, and testing my setup by 8:15. That meant I had just enough time to drop Johnnie off at school before I had to get back home and get in game mode. It also meant I had to take an early shower and get dressed up, AND get my breakfast in much earlier than usual. And so I thought I'd post a video of all the pre-townhall prep and sound check before the actual meeting. If I looked and seemed relaxed it was because I simply wasn't all that nervous about the whole thing. Maybe I am such a natural ham inside anyway right? As it was the thing did not exactly come off without a hitch as some people were still having connectivity issues. Damn that Noriel, I told him I didn't want that to be an issue any longer. Sigh. We will now have to discuss it first thing tomorrow at the IS Team Meeting. As far as my part though, that went off fairly flawlessly I thought. I even finished 5 minutes ahead of schedule. And from there it was on to my next meeting with the Data Team boom-boom-boom. And by the time THAT meeting was over, it was barely 10 AM and it felt like I had done enough work to last the rest of the day. Whew. I let the adrenaline that I was sure was fuelling me sort of die down a bit and then when I looked up it was lunchtime. Hmmm. What to eat today? For some reason I opted to go to Taco Bell because of all these coupons I had. On the one hand, I ordered a couple of tacos, nachos grande, and a burrito supreme which should have cost me over $12. Using coupons I only spent less than $4. I was full for lunch to be sure. On the other hand, I also realized why people shouldn't be eating fast food so much. I had never felt that bloated in a while.
So as terrible as I felt about the lunch that I supposedly saved money on, at least I didn't get an upset stomach about it. And before long it was already time to pick up Johnnie at school. And shortly after we got home Johnnie and Claire were playing with each other again, egging each other on as if they were siblings in fact. This time I left them alone, remembering full well how I spiraled into a negative state yesterday and I was 1000% determined not to have a repeat of any of that today. Look at the video I posted of them playing...slow-motion effect and all! I even let Johnnie bring Claire to Panda Express Westwood with us even if he had to wait outside for me to get done. It has started to get busy again in most of these eating places we go to and I am actually happy about that. We went home Johnnie ate his dinner, and I barbecued myself some thin pork chops for my dinner. Went very well with fried rice i got from Panda. And so this evening was much better than last night and it appeared Johnnie was back to his old happy jokester self be-bopping around the house. Probably because this time I let him LOL. And then I gave Claire a bath really early so I thought she could get dried up well before bed time. Everything seemed to be in flow tonight, including my steps. I got to 11,000+ and 60 active minutes without much effort today it seemed. Even while I was focused on the Town Hall in the morning. At the end of this evening, the end of today meant we're past midpoint of the short week. And I have a clear schedule the rest of the week heading into the weekend! Yes!
