So I met Noriel at Bristol Farms Westchester at 4:15, thinking it's just 10 minutes to the brand new SoFi stadium form there and thinking we'd have plenty of time for the 5:20 kickoff. What I did NOT factor in was that this was actually the very first time the stadium will have real, regular fans. And so naturally, simply getting to a parking spot, even though it was already reserved, was an adventure. Simply finding where to enter was an adventure. It took a good 45 minutes to get to the 4 miles to the stadium. Once in, though it went just fine. And we were in a suite anyway, with food and its own bathrooms so we didn't have to wait to pee or wait in line to eat. We were there with another couple. And when the host got there, it was good to know she remembered me from Rory's days at Spectrum earlier. I mean we had free swag too. A scarf AND a mask with the RAMS logo on it. Very, VERY COOL. But let's talk about the stadium shall we, because to be honest, there were no words for this, that's how out-of-this-world amazing it was. And here we were one of the first fans to experience a football game here! I mean just looking at the occulus scoreboard was enough of an experience. And the RAMS got an INT on the first possession and scored on their first drive. In 3 plays. AND One Republic played at halftime! Could this be any better? I simply can't think of a better sports event experience I have had than tonight. The RAMS won big of course and that was the piece de resistance. And despite taking a long time to get out of the parking lot, that was actually to be expected. They will get better at this. And how can I complain anyway? I got it all FOR FREE!!! I was home in time to watch the Walking Dead. So this was THE capper to the weekend to be sure. What an amazing experience.
