It's the middle of the short week and for Johnnie, it's like his Monday since school is finally open again this week. Which means up early, I'm making Johnnie lunch again and we're off early, lining up to drop him off well before 8 AM. This morning's docket is getting the Data Team on the same page. That seems to be the theme of the day because right after that I had to meet with Business Services and the EHR support team to get THEM on the same page. Which is why I posted the pic of me working in front of my computer. Work work work. Routine routine routine. And today I'll actually take it. Snippets of time that repeat over and over every day. Like taking Claire out right after my team meetings which usually end around 10 AM. It's a warm day out today and even taking the dog out for those 5 minutes helps clear my head actually. And then after responding to the usual slew of emails, I'm making myself lunch. Chicken piccata from Trader Joe's today. I notice that I'm still feeling some anxiety though not as bad as yesterday. Yesterday I had those old thoughts that I was going through some cardiac event. Not so much today. Especially since I took my BP and it consistently registered 130-135/low 80s. Higher than normal for sure. But for my age, and without medication, it's actually not so bad. And anyway I resolved to take a half hour nap after lunch. For some reason, I think the more naps I take, the higher my resting heart rate and BP. Could that be right? Why is it that when I don't get good sleep my RHR is lower. In the high 60s lower. Or is it just that I am working through stuff internally because of all the subliminals and internal feedback I listen to on a daily basis? Still I did manage to get a small nap in and then I worked on "stuff" the rest of the afternoon. I keep trying to remind myself it's already Wednesday and I should be busier than it feels. But being busy at all IS a bummer. But pretty soon I looked up and it was already 4:30. Today I decided I'd leave Johnnie at STAR after school until 5 PM. And then we could just go right to Panda Express to get his dinner. When I got to the school I could see him be-bopping around. And lots of parents picking up kids. No wonder he is sweaty every time I pick him up. Of course physical activity is MUCH better than sitting around my apartment in front of the TV watching Wild Kratts. I planned to make myself dinner, but decided I'd get the chicken mushroom over vegetables for myself. Eh, so I'm eating Panda Express more. At least it's fairly healthy? So this evening TWO things happened that were well out of the ordinary. The first was that out of nowhere, Johnnie asked if he could clean the back of the sofa and that he needed help moving it. W-h-a-t? Believe me I was very surprised. And then when we cleaned up the floor behind the sofa, he kept on going. As in, he tidied up the kitchen table, threw out all sorts of stuff, tidied up the bathroom, tidied up the shoes lying around, even tidied up around the bedroom. As in folding his pajamas and mine too. What?? If there was ever any doubt that this is Lisa's kid, tonight blew that out. That could ONLY be Lisa's influence. And he did a really REALLY good job too! The other thing that was out of the ordinary was that I got myself into a Yahoo Fantasy football league tonight and did an entire draft in one sitting. Yep I did analysis and everything. I was supposed to be in a league with Greg and the draft for THAT was supposed to be tonight too. But I guess most of the people he tapped to join his league blew it off at the last second. Which means no league. Here we were 7 PM and I'm waiting to draft and there was no league. SOOO I hopped on over to Yahoo and got into one. A public one with no money involved. Hey all I wanted to do was participate. So I could have something to talk about when people ask. After all, just about everyone belongs to a league these days. And I got some pretty good players too! And so routine Wednesday wasn't quite so routine at the end of the evening. I got so caught up in Fantasy Football that I blew off Claire's bath. Oh well, with much shorter hair she doesn't need it as much anyway. It's all good.
