Early Mother's Day

I finally got myself to reach out to my sister Grace on Thursday and asked what she was doing for Mother's day for our mom. They had planned to drive to West Covina and eat somewhere. I asked to tag along. And I thought it was the perfect day to bring Johnnie. Although Lisa would tell me she had also already booked a play date with Iris and her son Enzo (Jesse Gaitan) and to have him back by 1 PM. I asked to get it moved to 1:30 and though tight, I thought I still had plenty of time to hang out with the fam. After all, it would be the first time since the pandemic. More than 14 months at least.  For this entry I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking and leave it at that. All I will say is, with this one move of mine, I think I got back to my mom's good graces and I got to see my own fam if just for a couple of hours. Commentary later on...

The park by the house... where me and the neighborhood kids used to play baseball. And the reason why there are multiple trees planted everywhere.

Concluding the evening with dinner from Zankou chicken...
