So Lisa asked me to watch Johnnie today so she could go to the doctor again. This would be 2 straight Fridays she will have seen the doctor. I didn't mind really, I didn't have anything on my schedule, save the FRB monthly birthday party later on at 2 PM. She should be back from the doctors well before then. And so I spent the morning getting step mileage in, making myself a nice plate of bacon and eggs for breakfast and then actually getting showered. The last one, of course, I've been pretty inconsistent with on a Monday or a Friday and so I at least needed to get one in today. I was at Lisa's by 11 AM and she proceeded to greet me with a litany of stuff that she thought could be wrong with her, from cancer to needing to cut out stuff. We ended up reminiscing about exactly how much stuff had been cut out from down there in her private area already LOL. It's kinda been her thing all these years. I don't doubt that she has an infection going on. <BTW I think I"m having urinary tract minor pains going on with me too, sort of as a sympathy empathic reaction I think> After all she IS immuno-compromised. But I also don't think there's anything that serious going on either. MS and it's consequences is something to be managed. Kinda like, oh... age. Just kinks going off here and there. And she is simply being her hypochondriac self this morning. I seriously doubt that they even find anything in this session. I do understand her frustration though. You just want the thing to go away and damned if it's even more frustrating that they can't find anything wrong. Anyway I did watch Johnnie for his last class, even made him some macaroni pasta lunch just like I had been making lunch all week long. While he did his class I made myself some lunch courtesy of whatever was in Lisa's freezer. Turned out she had kibbeh in there. The real one, not the Trader Joe's king. And she had lamajeune. I will say that I was pretty full after making myself all that. And so when Lisa came back from the doctors, watching Johnnie turned out to be low key and chill. Almost a non-event. Just like Lisa's visit. She had more stories about the doctor getting frustrated with HER and her reactions. Gee...shocking. I went home, got myself ready for my FRB meeting by picking up a hazelnut drink at Coffee Bean and then when I got on at 2 PM, the meeting hadn't started yet. 2:05, no meeting. 2:10 still no meeting. I guess we won't be having one today huh? I closed my eyes for a second on my bed and when I looked up I saw on the screen that people had actually logged into the meeting. And to my absolute HORROR, it turned out that IS was supposed to be hosting this one! YIKES! My calendar said not until next month! WTF WTF WTF! I had been looking at the wrong damn calendar! Apparently it had been updated. And we WERE in fact hosting. SHIT SHIT SHIT. I tried to salvage the meeting for those that logged in... played the GOOD FROG BAD FROG game from my back pocket. And we ended up just having a chill meeting for a half hour. Unbelievable. At 5:30 PM< the surprises of the day continued. Lisa called with a message from Johnnie asking me to bring pizza for them for dinner. Well of course I knew Lisa put him up to it. She must still be tired from not getting diagnosed with something disastrous LOL LOL. So I guess I am having dinner with them tonight and I get the privlege of bringing dinner too. So tonight it IS pizza night. At least I don't have to wash too many dishes LOL. When I got there Lisa was almost asleep on the couch. She didn't need help with dinner, she needed much more. It seemed as if she had already checked out and it was only 6:30 PM. Oh well, I ended up watching JOhnnie even after dinner while Lisa knocked off righ there on the couch. I had to remind her that she still had to pick up her medication tonight. And so guess who got to go out and drive her to Walgreens with Johnnie and the dog in tow? I finally dropped them off after and i had one more act of "service" to do. On the drive back Johnnie had fallen asleep. Funny I was just telling him to try to close his eyes and sleep while we were waiting in the car for Lisa. It worked! And so I carried Johnnie into the house, and upstairs and laid him on his bed. No longer easy to do that... JOhnnie is grown and is not so light anymore. But after putting him to bed, NOW my night of service is done. Felt like I was helping all day Lisa as it turned out <or is the word HiJacKed?!! LOL LOL> . And I gotta be back first thing tomorrow. Lisa is working tomorrow after all. What a day.
